Acton High School’s Parent Forum was established in 2015, in succession to the Parents’ Association. The Forum has been designed to ensure that parents and carers, in conjunction with staff, can have a meaningful influence on both the operation and strategic direction of the school.
It met for the first time on Tuesday 6th October, with more than 30 students’ families represented. Discussions on the evening considered issues including the new Key Stage 3 assessment system, extra-curricular activities and careers education and raising aspirations. Since then it has gone on to discuss many important issues that shape the life of Acton High School.
The Forum meets every half term. Dates for meetings in the 2016–17 academic year are listed below. Meetings begin at 6pm and all are welcome, regardless of whether they have attended previous meetings of the Forum or not.
