The Acton Town Project Year 1
Acton High, Berrymede Junior and South Acton Children’s Centre students took part in Year 1 of the Acton Town project, producing a range of creative work. A family group visited London Transport Museum Depot to investigate and share ideas about Acton Town.
All these strands were showcased at our celebration event.

Acton High students took part in the Secrets of the Depot project. This allowed them behind-the-scenes exclusive access to the Depot’s object collection. The gifted and talented students worked in small groups to interview a variety of Transport for London staff who gave them an insight into the history of the chosen object. The second part of the project involved students curating an Exhibition case that houses some of these objects - this exhibition was displayed in the school foyer for one year, and then moved to London Transport Museum until September 2010.
