Year 7 Flexiday - Demonstrate Industrial Processes

Bringing practitioners into the classroom to give learning a context in the outside world

On Wednesday 3rd March 2010 four design graduates were invited to Acton High School to give a talk about their work they had done and to demonstrate industrial processes on a classroom desktop.

Year 7 students turned milk bottles into frizbees and cranked up rotational molding machines to create products from bioresin.

Students worked along-side the professionals to take on design challenges, redesigning common objects with more consideration to people and the planet.
