Acton - A Sense of Place
Exhibition and Celebration, Thursday 29th April 2010
Over the last term we have been working on four projects with London Transport Museum and A New Direction as part of our Change School programme of creative learning.
The unifying theme of the projects is Acton – a sense of place. We have explored what Acton means to us through the eyes of young people, teachers, artists and parents. We have been helped to express what we discovered by staff at the Museum, artists and film makers. We have learned new skills, made new relationships and uncovered a sense of the place in which we live and work.

Year 9 Maths Flexiday for Parents
Some Year 9 parents came in on our March Flexiday to learn more about the Maths curriculum, about preparation for GCSE Maths and how they could support their sons and daughters at home. They also did some Maths themselves! Here are some of their comments:
- Thank you for the session. I found it very useful and it is certainly going to be of much help in my trying to help my son with his schoolwork. I had a very good day.
- Really enjoyed the session. Time flew by! A longer session would be even better.
- Need more sessions in the future.
- Very informative.
- Would like this again at the beginning of next year.
