UNIFORM CHANGES

By March 2012 every Acton High Student will be wearing a formal uniform.

Black trousers/skirt, black school jumper and school tie. Jumper and tie must be purchased from school shop.

At Key Stages 3 and 4 different ties are to be worn to reflect student' progression through the school .

To give parents and students adequate time to adjust to the changes, the introduction of the new dress code will be phased.

June 2011 - New uniform available for purchase, but not compulsory for students presently on roll.

September 2011 - New uniform compulsory for new Year 7 intake.

March 2012 - New uniform compulsory for all students.

BLACK JUMPER with SCHOOL LOGO *

WHITE UNIFORM STYLE COLLARED SHIRT worn with a SCHOOL TIE *

SCHOOL TIE * KS3 Red / Black stripe KS4 Red/Black/Gold stripe

BLACK SKIRT /TROUSERS

SKIRT or TROUSERS should be Uniform style - not be made of denim or similar material.

TROUSERS should not have pockets along the length of the leg and should be worn around the waist. Only one pair to be worn at a time.

SKIRTS should be an appropriate length, ideally no shorter than top of knee. Long skirts are not to be worn.

WHITE SHIRT should be uniform style with a stiff collar and long sleeves or short sleeves.

TIE should be for the correct Year Group. It should be visible and not covered by a scarf.

TIGHTS / LONG SOCKS should be plain black

OUTDOOR COAT Black School style jacket : Plain – no logos. Not Denim or Leather

FOOTWEAR Plain Black including black sole – made of leather or Leather imitation. No logos. Black Shoe laces

JEWELLERY Maximum allowed - watch – one small ring – one pair small stud earrings or small sleepers

HEADWEAR : Accepted religious reasons Plain red or black. Other headwear not permitted within the school building

PE SHIRT * - Green with AHS logo

SHORTS - Plain black

TRACK SUIT – Plain black

FOOTWEAR Trainers or Plimsolls - Plain Black or White.

Football boots optional Socks - White Sports socks

* Uniform available only from the school. Other uniform may be bought at anyclothing shop but must conform to this list in style and colour

AHS UNIFORM SHOP (located in our Reception)

The School Shop opens at 3:30pm (for about 30 minutes) each Tuesday during term time. Other times may be arranged by appointment. Contact Jan Norman
